On this page you will find both home reared and locally reared products and the choice is yours! So, what’s the difference?
At Intwood farm we keep rare breed pigs primarily British Lops, which are now endangered, and British Saddlebacks. Rare breeds are different from commercial pigs in that they are slower growing, tend to be a little fatter, but have tremendous flavour. However, we understand that some customers prefer a leaner productand accordingly we also offer locally sourced pork from some of the top producers of commercial pigs in Norfolk. So, choose some tasty pork from our range - or even try both types to compare!!
Currently we are selling leg roasting joints and sausages from our home reared pigs, with chops and shoulder roasts etc. from locally sourced pigs. However, for customers that seek an all-home reared product we can supply a ½ home reared pig complete.
